still waiting...

And it is killing me! I am going stir crazy not knowing what is going on! We want to get to Ft. Lewis so bad, and everything is rolling in that direction but all of a sudden things are stalled at the DA level. It is so frusterating not knowing if it has all been approved. I had hoped to know by this weekend since I have to register for school on Wednesday. I need to know if we are leaving out of here before or after this semester is over. UGH!

On the bright side, our friend Mark is working the housing issue for us. These are pictures of the housing area's we'd like to move into.
One of them we could get but the list is long for it. The other two are one bedroom larger than we are authorized, however Jim is so close to his "P" that we are hoping they will not deny us (E-6P and above get an extra room). PLUS, we need a single floor dwelling (for my knee and Jim's surgeries) so there are the only ones with single floors. So we have our fingers crossed.

So I started the packing process today. We have a lot of stuff in the house that we don't use everyday and we most likely will not use in the next month or two so they can be inventoried, photographed and packed. Jim still wants the Army to move us so it is gonna take me twice as long to pack since I have to get all stupid and take pix of everything and make a large inventory, mark boxes and all the jie. That way if the Army contracted movers lose or break anything we have a record of it and the claims process will be easier. OYE. I hope I can change his mind and just have use DITY move (move ourselves). It will be a long drive and we won't get to go home to see familiy first but it makes the move easier, we'll get more money, and if we break anything we have no one to blame but ourselves. PLUS, we won't have to wait days, weeks or even months for our stuff to arrive on the other end, and the whole packing and unpacking process will be so much easier! Trust me, it took me 45 minutes to photo, inventory, and pack just one VERY SMALL box of my stuff today.. that is a crazy amount of time in my opinion and I am the only one doing the packing since Jim is broken!

Anyways, I am teaching magickal papermaking at Gaelic Dreams tomorrow, so I must go and gather my teaching materials! YEAH! And then it is back to packing again! I've also got to get ready for PUF! LOL!

packing, pcs, military life, puf
