gearing up for GA
OK, so in case I had not mentioned it... Donald and I are going with Jim on his next TDY trip. He's going down to Savannah to do what he does here at FTCKY, he's just doing it for their battalion down in GA. Since he keeps spraining his ankle, driving a stick all the way to GA and back would be a bad idea... so all three of us are going together in my truck! YEAH! No biggie that DJ is missing school, it's only 4 days (since it MLK jr week) we talked with his teachers and got his work for the week so I will keep DJ up-to-date in the hotel room everymorning for a few hours before we go out and explore what historic Savannah has to offer us! :-) I am so excited! I've been doing all this research... i can't wait to get there!
Thing that sucks.... like a dumb ass I forgot to go to school and buy my textbooks and I get my financial aid deferment thingy (that paper that allows you to validate even though your financial aid had not hit your student account yet) so as of tonight all of my classes are going to drop and I am gonna have to get up first thing in the morning saturday and TRY my hardest to get back into my classes! UGH! DAMN IT!!!! My day got so screwed up with hubby being home, he turned off all the alarms, we slept in till 11 so now I am playing catch up all day on all this shit going on this evening! (Winter festival, karate thing, pagan chat) I can't wait to just be able to chill tonight and watch tv! LOL!
UPDATE: I guess that when the APSU website does it nightly update, that the financial aid actually uploads BEFORE the registrar system drops your classes.... I logged in this morning and my classes were still there b/c my financial aid uploaded! YEAH! So I validated and I have my classes. Of course I ended up dropping one of my classes though. (The SOC one.) Jim convinced me to do it since my financial aid ONLY covered my classes and there was only $13 left for books. Not to mention we will be gone for next week, then again for 2 weeks in Feb, and he is having his surgery in Feb too so I will already have tons on my plate. So I am just taking two courses this term to be on the safe side! ;-) So now I have plenty to cover my books and enough left over to upgrade my PSP if I want to.... but I think I will just renew our OnStar with the leftover $100. (I know not really a school expense but I would rather NOT get lost in GA, NC, or WA over the next few months! LOL!
