Gays can't bowl together in Michigan!
Who knew that in today's day in age and in such a progressive area such as Michigan you would find BLATENT discrimnation against gay couples?! Had plans with a bunch of friends to go bowling on New Years Eve at this all night couples bowl. When we went to go pay for our tickets, Jim and I were the only ones who could!!!! The owners literally told us that it was "boy/girl" couples ONLY! WTF?! Two of the other couples could produce marriage licenses on the spot, but it did not matter... they said that "Gay marriage is not legal in Michigan" therefore the did not have to honor their license! UGH! So we tried three other bowling allys offering the same couples night bowl and all three had the same answer... you could register as boy/girl couples or come as a single, but if you came as a single you would be paired up with a member of the opposite sex! UGH!

So what did we do? Get mad, hell yeah. Get even? Nope. We went back to J's house and we "finished" her basement. (It was in total disrepair after some contractors repaired her foundation and left without cleaning up their mess... dust, rocks, everything was everywhere!) So we cleaned, we washed, we replaced the carpet, painted the ceilings, you name it we did it tonight! Everything was covered in this layer of white powder from all of the jackhammering they did down there for three days! It took all night and 6 very determined adults but we managed to pull it together and it is now ready for a party! So the whole New Years bash has now moved to J&K's house! YEAH! Of course A&D are gonna be there... as well as some other folks I know from here and some friends of J&K that I have not met yet. So it should be fun! Donald is staying here at Mom & Dad's and celebrating with them so we can have an adult night out.. of course a special suprise just made an appearance tonight so maybe it will be a fun filled night for DJ afterall.... (will spill about the suprpise once the rest of the fam is let in on the secret!)

On a great note... spent all day with my good friend K and her daughter V (DJ's girlfriend) and we also had tons of fun at A's McDonald's too! Love the playland now that I can fit up into those tubes and ride down the twisty slide on a McD's food tray! LOL!
Also got a bit more than tipsy while cleaning and painting the basement... not letting K make my drinks anymore... shoot I was trashed for an hour... I was toooooo funny apparently!
