Fandom and a Meme
I stayed up half the night reading posts defending fanfiction, and it was gloriously worth it. It was rather inspiring, actually, and I'd quite like to write essays establishing my own thoughts on fandom and various branches of it. I believe I teased that I was going to do so about RPF as soon as finals stopped eating my brain, and I never did, so perhaps later this week...
Also, I tried to create this meme a few months ago, to regrettably little response. I thought I'd try again.
-Assume I'm in your fandom, whatever it is. I may or may not actually be, but that is irrelevant.
-Further assume that I am absolutely against your OTP. It's entirely possible that I'm not, and that I back it 100%, however I want you to forget that for now.
-Now, try to win me over to your OTP. What is it about them that you adore? What makes them tick? Why should I believe you? Give me pictoral evidence, canon events, personality compatibility, whatever, just tell me about your OTP.
