Ok, so I left you a comment on your blog. But I much prefer to correspond through lj, I quote:

I'm considering a pair of mittens. How's your pricing look for a pair of wool ones?

Machine-washable wool blend or 100% wool? And do you want it to be multiple colors (if so, I'll have to buy two different colors, unless you want a variegated yarn)? This is less dependent on cost, but also, what size hands do you have (or does the recipient have, if they're for a gift)?

Generally, though, pricing for a pair is around $5 for a single-color (or variegated) machine-wash wool blend, $8 for a single-color (or variegated) hand-wash wool or a dual-colored machine-wash wool blend, and $13 for a dual-colored hand-wash.

Gratuitous fine print: All price estimates are based on JoAnn.com yarn prices, and don't include shipping. Prices would vary slightly (give or take ~$1) depending on what yarn I would choose to go with.

Probably a blend because I'm lazy like that. Hahaha. And I would like a variegated wool. Preferably bright colours. I shall check out joann.com for colours when I get home. I've also got small hands.

Nothing wrong with being lazy when it comes to washing things, haha!

I've been looking at Lion Brand Wool-Ease yarn, which is relatively cheap, although it doesn't have much in the way of variegated yarns.

Patons SWS has *lovely* colors, most very bright and self-striping, but they are about twice as expensive, and they're hand-wash. Same for Lion Brand Lion Wool yarn which looks lovely.

Debbie Mumm Traditions Yarn looks like it would be interesting to work with, but continues to have the same problem as the others.

I'm heading out to go shopping later today in a couple hours, and I may pick up something there, which will depend on what they have in stock in the store, too...failing that, however, I can always order it online if you fall in love with a particular colorway. =)

Oh no, go for it. Really, my only stipulation is no orange. Yellow, blue, green, red, pink, purple, whatever. But no orange. Not too heavy on the pink and purple though. Does that make sense?

I wouldn't mind the green on the left, or the blue on the right. Something like that.

And the prices work for you? It would likely be in the range of $7-8.

Ooo, those look awesome. I wish I could get those for you, haha, but they look handspun/dyed.

Oh, well, I just mean in that type of shade. I'm not into the too much pink/purple and no orange at all. Just giving you an idea of what to go for. Thanks! If you could do more of a blue and green, it would match my scarf. =) Price works for me. Will prob work out to around $10 Cnd. Shipping hopefully shouldn't be too bad for them.

Oh, no, I understood what you meant. But those are awesome in general, haha.

8 USD is apparently around 8.55 Canadian dollars. Shipping should be around $2 maybe, so you're probably right.

And I will definitely try to look for blue/green yarns!

Omg, now I'm just being picky. Not too much turquoise? Avoid it if you can. Alright, now I am done. $10 for a pair of mittens is fantastic. And if I can get something to match my scarf and that fits? So awesome. It's hard finding stuff when you've got small hands.

Can I have your e-mail address, just to let you know when they're done and ready to be shipped? And do you need these by any particular time? I'll try to get them to you as soon as possible, but do I have a specific deadline?

londonook@gmail.com.

No deadline, but... maybe before the end of the winter? So I'll get to wear them at least once this year. =)

How would you like to be paid? Let's also make sure of that before you do anything. I've got paypal.

I'm aiming for November. That'll give you, what, five months of use? ;P

Paypal for sure. On my blog, I stated, "Payment will be handled through Paypal."

Weird, I didn't get an email for this post. I don't remember asking this. Did you want me to pay now or later? It's up to you.
