Well, the research is complete. Or rather, it was completed a few days ago. The symbol at the train station is decidedly not mundane, but rather a sigil for safe travel. It took some doing, but Brendon broke the code. I'd pinpointed the rune and the number, but the three dots still were nowhere to be found. Brendon stumbled across a book on Geomancy detailing a number of symbols used, and sure enough, the three dots are a symbol of fortune and luck, often seen mirrored with another three dots next to it. Geomancy would make sense, in this case, because the sigil was inscribed underground. Couple that with the rune for movement and lucky 13, and you've got one happy train station.

In other news, I stumbled across some more arcane graffiti today, on the side of a warehouse. Unfortunately I didn't get a good enough look at it, but it was definantly written in old Norse runic, in white paint. It definantly wasn't your usual graffiti...after all, what's the point of writing your name in a language that no one can read? Aside from that, it was also about six feet tall, four feet off the ground, so someone needed a ladder to put it there. I'll keep my eye open tomorrow and get it written down.

One the mundane front, no one seems interested in hiring me, which is a major bummer. Barnes and noble will hire me in september, as if that does me any good now. I'm going to have to suck up to steve the spiteful prick at applebees to get my old job back. The only reason I don't have it already is because he's old, fat, and bitter. Can't stand that I left his precious resteraunt for a once in a lifetime opportunity.

I'll have to apologize to him for making him realize that his highest aspiration is a glorified fast food manager.
