lalala...i'm still here
howdy, ya'll.
no i have not died. i'm just to busy to update.
let's see...what is new? paigey is walking EVERYWHERE now. she's almost running at times! work is crazy as ever; my new coworker's a real piece of work, but she's nice, so i guess it could be worse. pete had a job interview at springville high school on friday and has one at morris high school tomorrow; poor guy has to leave his house at 4:30 to be there by 9 :\
wedding things are coming along; the invites are almost done, we just have to meet with the caterer and finalize the menu so i can put choices on the reply cards and then we can send them out. we had our cake tasting today and chose the design for the cake: it's going to be two round cakes on the bottom (the bottom will be white cake and the top will be marble), then roses on that along with 3" pillars and then the top cake (for our first anniversary; it's white cake) with more roses on top and our double heart topper (we don't have a theme, but red roses/rose petals and double hearts show up quite frequently). it's going to be enough for 100 guests, and total (including delivery!) is $90! craziness. that is so much less than i ever expected to pay for a wedding cake! she's doing all the work, and even giving us the box complete with instructions for saving the cake top for our anniversary. she was sooo nice and patient, and her cake is so amazing!!! oh, and i made the guest book; it only took like 4 1/2 hours, but it looks great and cost like, $6....$10 if you include the paper, but i already had that on hand. know what's sad? i haven't worn my engagement ring in 7 days. it's at the store being resized, and it takes 10 days to do it, but i won't be able to get it until next weekend at some time :*( i almost cried when i took it off. i know, i shouldn't get attached to material things, but i waited almost 3 1/2 years to get it, and it just means a lot (yes, i'm corny; i knew i wanted to marry pete the first time i saw him). oh, and the youth group at pete's church is being recruited by our caterer (a woman at pete's church) to do all the serving, so that's one less thing i have to worry about! YAY!
