[So hey guys, guess what today is? That's right, it's Christmas again!

Russian Christmas that is.

Have a certain cheery nation on your commuter again. Russia's in the common room, just chilling out for the moment. In a while he'll don the mantle of Ded Moroz, since obviously nobody else here is ready for that kind of commitment, and go about sneaking ( Read more... )

'Do.. svidaniya..?' [ She repeats the last part slowly, as if she doesn't get it at all - hint: she really doesn't get any of it. ]

It means goodbye in my native language. [He smiles, as if he's used to explaining things of this sort.]

It is a very curious language. I mean.. I have never heard anything quite like it before.

I will take that as a compliment?

'Curious' or even 'strange' does not mean the same as 'bad'. It's simply 'different', after all.

I do believe I like your outlook, though it is certainly not one I have encountered oft before.

Unfortunately most people aren't quite accepting of 'different'. They want everything to just fit in their own standards. It's almost sad to see them stuck in such a mindset, honestly.

Mmmhm, I would have to agree. But life would be so boring if everyone was all the same.

Some people seem to have no concept of boring. Did you know some people actually enjoy books without pictures?

Why yes, of course. I enjoy reading fairly often. But you're young, so I can see how it would be boring to you.

Nineteen often isn't exactly considered 'young' anymore. At least not where I come from. [ kids are forced to grow up pretty fast in Victorian times, and especially in a city like London and its hardships. ]

But I think it's a trait more people share. A book without pictures just isn't worth the effort.

Technically you are an adult then, but you are still young.

Perhaps you could draw your own pictures then? If you find once without so boring.

Oh, I couldn't. I could only draw pictures for my own story, after all.. Perhaps I should just write all of that down one day.

Your own story?

Everyone has their own story, right? The story of their life, their adventures, everything.

Oh, yes, of course. And you want to write yours down?
