Kaito Kuroba | Trick 008 | [ Action | Voice ]

Out of curiosity, can we get in trouble for going into another house?

[Well... Kaito got bored. Again. But now that he's successfully created some confusion and STILL has some free time he's just hanging out by the entrance to the Hufflepuff common room waiting for someone to come by and reveal the secret, let him in, or Aoko to come out ( Read more... )

[Tavros is on his way out of the common room with an armful of books when he spots Kaito loitering around. He watches him for a few minutes before he approaches, oblivious of the fact that he just gave away the location of the door.]

Umm, hi! This might be kind of a weird question, especially if I'm wrong, but weren't you the guy who was looking for kitchens not too long ago?

[Score one for Kuroba. S-sorry Aoko, where ever you are, he is one step closer to your dormitory]

Yup! And I found them too! [He gestures to their general location]

Really? I looked, after you were talking about it, but I couldn't figure out where the door was. How'd you do it?

I asked a few of the portraits- some of them are pretty tight lipped but others can't wait to start spilling secrets- or hints in my case.

Anyway, it's behind that still-life of fruit.

[He looks a little perturbed.]

But I looked there! I thought there might be a door behind it, but it doesn't move at all.

You have to tickle the pair. It's complicated but hey, this is a magic school.

[He's not too put off by the concept. He knows a guy that SHRUNK after all]

[He considers it.]

...I'll be right back.

[He is, indeed, right back! And looking stunned and excited.]

You didn't tell me there were little people-looking-things in there! What were they? Wow, they're all cooks, I guess, right? I don't think they saw me, because I left in a hurry, but I was kind of, um, worried they would, since I don't think we're supposed to be in there, right? Even though I didn't really go inside, I think probably I could be in trouble just for opening the door.

...Oh.

[He looks suddenly worried.]

This is the first time I broke a rule on purpose, aside from the uniform thing.

[Kaito is such a horrible influence he's just gonna laugh]

Heheheheh- Yeah, probably. But if they can't prove you did it you can't get in trouble for it.

Tch. Besides, some of the rules they have here don't make any sense. I can't help if I get hungry late at night and I will come down here to fix that problem. You ever tried sleeping on an empty stomach? It doesn't work.

Whoa, you really come down here at night and take food? Aren't you afraid of getting caught and losing house points? Or having detentions?

ashowman January 7 2012, 06:49:34 UTC
Not really. One, I know I won't get caught. And two, house points are silly.

[coughcough. don't mind him while imitates Professor Snape's voice perfectly] 'you just lost ten house points'

...Okay? They don't affect my life one way or the other so the teachers can just have fun deducting those points.

[Tavros's eyes go wide when Kaito uses Snape's voice. He's good!]

I know you're right, and that the house points aren't really important, or anything like that, but I want to get lots of them all the same. Just because that's what we're supposed to do, like in a game.

I don't want to let Hufflepuff down, too! Some of the people in here really want to win, and I'd feel bad if I lost any points.

I've never been good at playing by the rules. [Well... at least he's honest]

That right there is probably why you're in Hufflepuff and I'm in Gryffindor. Ah, that's right, you have the same house as Aoko...

...Want to try an experiment for me?

An experiment?

Yeah, I'm curious. In Gryffindor tower if you try to get in the girl's dormitory the stairs become a slide- I just want to know what happens when a boy tries to get in the girl's dormitory in Hufflepuff.

That's strange. I wonder why.

But, um, I've never had a reason to go in there, so I don't know.
