[ So, Iceland showed up recently-- not too recently where he didn't have time for the gravity of the situation to sink in, but recently enough where he hadn't taken time to go out and thoroughly explore and get himself oriented to this place. Which is what he's doing now, incidentally, when he turns the commuter on - it's apparent that he's inside ( Read more... )

Could you get a clearer image of the pictures on the wall?

[He can more or less, recognized majority of the castle's floor plan by now, especially after spending so much time exploring it looking for a way out.]

Huh? [ It takes him a second to process that request. ] Oh, sure.

[ He trots over to the nearest portrait (who looks down at him, not too amused), then meanders over to the next, and the one after that. By the looks of it, he's on the 4th floor or so... ]

[Watching the video feed carefully, he takes note of each of the portraits. It soon become obvious by the third portraits which corridor the lost boy is in.]

You are on the forth floor corridor. Walk all the way to the end of the hallway and take the staircase down to the third floor. Turn left at the staircase and you will come to the library entrance near the center of the hallway.

Alright. Thanks. [ And he starts to head in the direction he was instructed. ]

What if the staircase moves again, though?

[He leaves the feed on while he continues writing his essay to make sure the person he's directing gets to the library.]

That staircase doesn't move. The one you came from earlier does.

Oh... okay. [ Awkward silence sets in. Ahhh what do. ]

Thanks again, I guess.

You might want to start remembering certain portraits or suit of armors who remain where they are stationed on each floor and corridors to avoid getting lost.

[Unfortunately, Tieria doesn't feel the awkward silence as he continues writing and keeping an eye on the video feed.]

[ At least Tieria is keeping the Awkward levels relatively low. ]

Right. Okay. It'd help if the portraits didn't move.

[He's back to watching the feed now that he's pretty much done with his essay.]

Not all of them. Some of the ghosts move but the background remains the same. Those are the one you should take note of.

[ Iceland has made some progress! He's near some stairs now. ]

Does this place have a map? Seems like that'd be more practical.

[He leans back into the comfortable seat, glad that the Iceland is approaching the correct staircase.]

Not that I am aware of. It will probably be more useful to put up signboards considering the size of this castle.

They make maps for cities. There could be one for a castle, too.

Regular cities don't have moving staircases or residential ghost tricking people into traps and what's not. Signboards will be a lot more reliable in this case.

You'd be surprised. Have you ever been to Copenhagen? They have like... bike traps where they try to run over tourists. I think I can handle ghosts.

Bring ran down and being trapped are two different situations. One lands you in a hospital, the other has a variation of effects and the fact that the later happens in a magic school is another point to consider.

[Pause.] Did you turn into the correct direction?

They're just ghosts, though. [ Clearly he's not heeding Tieria's words of wisdom. Oh well, what's that worst that could happen?? ]

...Yes, I did.
