[This does surprise him, though the reaction is brief, there and gone in a breath. Lelouch's mask is skillfully crafted, but it does not fool the elder. (What else is an older brother for?) He does, however, misread it somewhat - because he knows full well who and what Lelouch is, and he knows that their chess match was merely a precursor to something far greater.

And yet, those words give him pause. Because it hasn't been a while at all. So, what then? Is his wayward little brother merely seeking to confuse? Or is there something else happening here, something he isn't seeing?]

[My, but that's oddly amicable of him. Schneizel knows Lelouch better than to believe he'd let go of their enmity, even in light of current events - so is this a well-played move on his part?
