"A spell designed to draw forth only the most honourable and righteous heroes." [He reads the line with eyes downcast, before looking to the camera. There's amusement in his eyes, and a faint quirk to his mouth.] It's quite a lofty claim, isn't it? I wonder what mettle those of us 'magicdrafted' are made of. In fact, I confess, this is quite ( Read more... )

[This is... something. He's not sure how to feel about this, after all. Schneizel, last he knew, was Geassed to serve Zero, not Suzaku in specific.

...but Advanced Counter Magic could mean that Schneizel had the means to free himself, if he hasn't already.

...

He'd have to be careful how he handled this. So when he elected to respond, he appeared on the screen with his head bowed.]

Prince Schneizel.

[Stalking Perusing the commuter beforehand had already alerted him to Suzaku's presence, but the address is still a surprise - at least, it appears that way, his eyebrows raising in a minute show of shock.

The last thing he remembered before waking here was the glare of FLEIJA - victory - and, therefore, the Knight of Zero was a sworn enemy. (But once ally, once point of interest, once hope.)

Perhaps surprisingly, he smiles minutely.]

Suzaku Kururugi.

[No malice in his tone, though no surprise either. After all, Suzaku was both a dead man, and someone out to kill him last they saw each other. Then again, Schneizel always had that unflappable air of grace and smoothness about him. No reference to him as Master Zero, though its not as if Schneizel was ever let in on that secret.

He remained with his head bowed. It was easier to hide his facial expressions that way, his bangs obscuring his eyes.]

You don't seem surprised to see me.

[The Suzaku he remembers - his enemy, that is - would surely be quick to meet his eyes. A show of defiance, a show of pride, a show that he's made his choice. The bowed head earns a raised eyebrow, but Schneizel doesn't comment.]

Well, they did ask for heroes. [The way he says it, it might be a barb. Or it might be mere observation. Either way, he decides to drop the crypticism for the moment. Mostly.]

I chose to do some research before speaking up.

Prepared, as always.

[And giving away nothing as he speaks. But Schneizel was always ten times the chess player Suzaku could ever hope to be. The only way he could ever hope to beat Schneizel was the same way he used to beat Lelouch: kick over the board and decide that they were playing an entirely different game all along.

...

Worth a shot. Tag, Schneizel; you're it.]

I'm curious, though, at who you've chosen to serve while you're here. Our 'Headmaster' Dumbledore, your own ambitions, the throne of Our Emperor, or perhaps something else?

[If Schneizel were geassed, there was only one way he could possibly answer that question.]

What a shrewd question. [He remarks, amused, his smile innocuous. A retort about changing sides flits through his mind and goes unsaid - he has no need whatsoever for enmity - and he considers the words themselves. 'Our Emperor'? A jest? He doubts it entirely. This isn't the situation, Suzaku isn't the type. Purely for show? He dismisses that notion, too.]

Through one means or another, I serve the people, as best I can. It's a little difficult to put ones trust in someone who is willfully absent at such a time, don't you think?

[Again, not giving much away, but enough that he can at least assume that Schneizel isn't Geassed. After all, he would have said he served Zero's interests, not that of the people. Not to mention that Schneizel didn't correct him about the status of who was actually sitting on the throne. Perhaps he didn't know?

So, either the Geass was removed, and Schneizel wouldn't remember being under it to begin with, or, if speculation is correct, this place can pull people from the same where but a different when. Which would explain Roxas seeing his dead associate walking around alive and well here.

Either way, the result was the same, making him no further than the during the battle of Damocles. Or perhaps before it.

This could be a problem.]

I suppose. Though I wonder if your method of serving the people will mean another Damocles hanging over our heads.
