[ As a professor, he couldn't help but feel as though he had something of an obligation to alert the new... "students" to their circumstances (or at the very least to those that shared his house). Not to mention, this particular arrival had a queer manner of both speech and dress.

He couldn't help but wonder what sort of place this 'soul society' was. ]

You will soon find that Albus Dumbldeore cares little for the obligations of others, including those of us he had deemed "professor".

[ Even if the man claimed to be looking for a way to reverse the spell... he should have never cast it in the first place. ]

[Byakuya's eyes widen in surprise as the words appear on the screen.]

...it writes!

[It takes a moment or two to figure it out, but he soon figures out how to write using the commuter.]

It would seem he has little regard for us in general. And yet he expects us to be his warriors when he does not show us even courtesy enough of forewarning or preparation.

[Someone is not-so-quietly outraged in finding out from the last conversation that his spirit body has been tampered with.]

Random kidnappings will not win him any favors.

[Or maybe it will. People seem so accepting of this :|]

Your feelings are echoed by others.

However, it is becoming increasingly clear to me that it seems even he had no control over this spell that brought us here. It leaves us little choice but to serve here as he sees fit.

We are punished for his folly.

[ How many others would he bring that were required elsewhere? ]

Are they?

I have seen little but indifference and complacency among those that I have spoken with thus far. Some even go so far as to fault me for being outraged at the position we have been put in.

[But he likes your response. Clearly you're one of the rational ones here.]

But it would seem you, at least, understand.

He should not have cast this spell without being prepared to control it. One must always be aware of one's own limits.

[ It was almost... pleasant to see a boy (in his own... "house" no less) who understood something of obligation. ]

That is not surprising. There are few men who care for their duties or the importance of such things. Many more are content to ignore them and wish to find fault in others for not doing the same. Why should it be any different here?

[ The boy was still young, but he would learn soon enough the harsh realities of the world. ]

No, he should not have. Yet he did, and somehow it still seemes to benefit his cause, despite him claiming error.

It is disgraceful. Such irresponsible behavior would not be acceptable at home.

[Either as a member of the Kuchiki clan, as a clan head, or as a shinigami. Not that he is either of the latter two yet.]

It's rather good to see that there are at least a few here who can see reason about this situation.

[A pause in the writing--]

You have seen my face, but I have not yet seen yours. Might I know with whom I am conversing?

My name is Kuchiki Byakuya.

[ And on comes the video feed, revealing a man in his mid-thirties dressed plainly, though you might be able to make out a Hufflepuff badge next to a pin of a crowned stag, surrounded by a flaming heart. ]

You speak to Stannis of the House Baratheon, first of his name.

[ He gives the boy a curt nod, once again leaving out his longer titles. ]

I am one of the professors here.

[ Though he still does not sound quite comfortable with such a title. ]
