By the sound of it you're old enough to be one. Girl scouts belong to a youth organization that promotes positive values and teaches girls how to be self-reliant. To raise money for their activities, they hold all sorts of charity drives and go door to door selling cookies.

It's one of the reasons why adults are so reluctant to open their doors when a little girl wearing a green uniform knocks on it.

Oh, I see! But why would they be so reluctant if it was for a good cause like that?
