Chatting on the Grounds
Remus settled himself under his favorite tree and leaned back against it. He had plans to meet with Lily and catch up. It would be nice to talk to her.
He loved being back at Hogwarts, he relly did, but sometimes the castle was overwhelming. All the people and the noise... And no matter how hard he tried to deny it, things with the Marauders were still tense. He was still tense. And trying to act like nothing was different took a lot of energy.
Any minute now Lily would arrive. Then he would turn back on, face the world. But for now he was just going to sit here. Just sit and feel the wind and watch the squid drift lazilly across the lake. The world was still out there, but for just this moment Remus wasn't a part of it.
He closed his eyes and leant his head against the tree.
