I haven't been in a black church in a while. It was awesome. TCC gospel choir sang at one of our member's church tonight. There choir sang and the preacher talked for an hour, then their dance group went, then there was more talking, then guest dance group went, then there was more talking, then we sang, then there was more talking, then the bishop asked one girl in our choir why she took off her shoes. She took the mic from in and said boldy, "Because I'm standing on holy ground." That got the church going, you have no idea! WHOOO! There was people falling all over the place, there was dancing and running around church for twenty minutes. The service started around 6 or shortly after and we probably finally dismissed after 10 or something. It was crazy. Then the church fed us and I ate the best fried chicken I've ever eaten- ask anyone in the van on the way back, I talked about the chicken for a long time.

If you've never been to a crazy black church, go once in your life. It brought tears out of my eyes and me out of my uptight white shell.
