[voice // Japanese]

[The voice feed clicks on to a new frequency, and there comes from it the voice of what sounds like a young girl speaking Japanese.]

Is this on? Hello? [There's some discomfort in the words, but for the most part the voice sounds pretty normal, if a little quick in speaking.] Am I using this right? You told me to use it, so...

... This feels really ( Read more... )

It's alright. We can hear you.

Welcome to Discedo, a city filled with people who have also been brought here by the Scientists.

It'd be most wise of you to find some shelter soon. Could you explain your surroundings? I could assist you in getting somewhere safe.

Scientists...? [She's not all sure about that there, but for now--]

Oh, my surroundings-- they look like shops to me? But everything's so...

[Everything is looking so different from where she woke up at.] Should I look for a sign?

Yes. A sign would be most helpful, but please be careful. There are monsters and if you posses any magic it will not work right now...

My name is Cube. May I have your name?

Monsters? [Okay, now this is just getting more and more weirder.] -- I, I'm Hino Kahoko. Cube-san, what do you mean by monsters?

This city is full of aggressive animals and humanoids. I do not mean to frighten you, as there are plenty of inhabitants of this city who are very kind and helpful as well...

It's a pleasure to meet you Hino-san. Have you found any signs? There are quite a few shops... some are by the hospital and if you're near there,I could meet you.

Ah, there is, but... [Oh gosh monsters.] There were other people just on the device, and one of them were a friend of mine. He says he's coming for me, but I don't know how safe he'll be, Cube-san.

--The street is Inguresh terail; do you know if it's safe?

It's always nice to ahve friends from home here. Don't take one another for granted, though. The scientists like to send people back randomly.

I can't guarantee it'll be safe but Hino-san sounds close to the Hospital or to the High school... both are safe. However, should you find yourself near the hospital, it's only safe from the second floor upwards. The first floor is sometimes inhabited by wondering humanoids. [he is refraining from using the words Zombie and Undead]

I know this is all very confusing at first, but it's wise to not neglect the communication devices as they will shock you if it's ignored. Also, if you are ever in need of medical attention, just ask for myself or anyone here at the Hospital. There is a soup kitchen at the High school as well as a restaurant and Bar called the Northern Lights on Bonito drive. Miss Alpha is opening a Cafe right next door to the bar, so something warm will be available soon.

[Wow, this is really a lot to take in at once. It all sounds so helpful, but is she really understanding right now...?]

Ah, um, thank you, Cube-san. I don't know where he's coming from or where we'll go, but maybe I can tell him all that. If I can remember it.

But does that mean... you're a doctor?

If he is already here... and has been here a while... he'll know and be bale to better explain things for you, Hino-san.

No, I'm not a doctor. Just a simple butler but I hope to be a doctor someday. I'm an apprentice to Dr. Eirin Yagokoro at the hospital.

I don't know how long he's been here, but it couldn't have been too long. [Still, long enough to know his way...]

--but he does seem to know his way around, so it could be true he already knows about it.
