The Wayfaring Mare has few protective structures. The grounds are open for anyone who wishes to trespass as the gate is more decorative than functional. It is something Morgana wishes to change in the future but as her focus was, at first, getting the inn fitted for guests, then the party, and the main house being secure, it means that any plans to replace the gates had to be put on hold.
It is petty of her to wish she had gates suitable to keep out her expected guest, one she was forced to invite because of the pride of two very stubborn individuals. Sadly, Morgana is one of those two whose inability to back down has resulted in the current situation.
Thus, she is awaiting the arrival of Mordred. In an attempt to look almost bored when he arrives, she is seated on one of the benches made by Melou, and petting Veda, who is quite happy to be permitted outside, even if it only to keep her mistress company.
The chill in the air is nothing in comparison to the hostess's attitude towards the impending arrival, but if Sagramore is going to be sorted, in any sort of way that might prevent him from one day being found dead in a ditch (an idea that has occurred to Morgana more than once, though she's yet to tell Sagramore) it is a necessary evil.
