*Rue goes around a corner to enter the hallway in front of the Great Hall, her scarlet eyes grazing the area for Mytho. She wonders what on earth Mytho could have gotten for her, part of her feeling oddly shy at the thought that he'd considered her and wanted to see her reaction. What did he mean by that, anyway? Was he nervous she wouldn't like it? Rue huffs a bit inwardly. As if she'd dislike anything Mytho could give her... But that all the more made Rue feel curious and eager despite herself.*

*pushes off from the wall he was leaning against and smiles softly* Rue! *trots over to her, a gift wrapped in red and golden paper in his hand. He plays with the gold ribbon tying it together for a moment before holding it out to her* Um...Merry Christmas, I suppose?

*smiles when she sees him; when Mytho offers it to her, Rue gingerly takes the present from him with both hands, looking down at it and then up at him* Thank you, Mytho. *at first she can only be grateful for Mytho giving her something itself and her fingers move over the box absently; then after a few seconds she remembers that Mytho wanted to see her reaction to it, and so Rue unties the bow and opens the present...*

*smiles* You're welcome! *watches anxiously as she opens the present, hoping that she'd like the it, since he had to order it specially...

Inside the box is a golden charm bracelet with a single charm attached to it. The charm looks like a pair of black ballet slippers* I...I saw the charm, and I thought it matched your necklace. And I knew you'd need a bracelet for it, so...

I hope it's alright that it only has one charm with it. I figured you'd probably want to choose the rest yourself.

*loops her fingers under the chain to lift the bracelet delicately out of the box, her scarlet eyes moving over the golden bracelet and resting on the charm, as she puts the box in her pocket and holds it in both her hands. Her mouth is slightly open in surprise...Mytho had put such thought into it...it made her feel a bit...special...and that feeling was so nice.
After a moment Rue looks up at Mytho.* ...You...put such thought into it. *gives him a full, sincere, tender smile* It's lovely, Mytho...thank you. Thank you very much.

*his eyes light up and he grins* Oh, I just stumbled on the charm by accident, really...but I'm really glad you like it. You're welcome.

I hope you'll have a good Christmas here. I'll write to you while I'm gone.

*clasps the bracelet around her wrist, warmth bubbling up inside of her*

And I hope you have a nice holiday with your parents. *eyes teasing* You had better! *gives him a hug; after a moment she pulls away to look at him more seriously, brushing some loose strands of hair out of her face* ...But really, it will be good to hear from you. *smiles through a faint blush*

((How ironic. Rue has two ballet slipper charms, each given to her by people who are close to her but are the last thing left to her before something bad happens to them (parents: they and Rue are separated, and Mytho...well, we know the mayhem in store for him. 8D))

*lying a little* Oh, I'm sure I'll have a good time. *returns the hug gently, then slides his hands into his pockets* I'll write every day, if you'd like! Although I don't know if the letters will be all that interesting, but...I'll think of something to write about. *notes the blush, but makes sure not to call attention to it, smiling back kindly*

I'm sure we both will have plenty to write about, if not because of what might be going on during our holiday then other things we like.

I don't really get the chance to write them often, but I know it'll be fun to have you to write to.
