Happy Ending to a helluva week

My week started out like every other week this summer until wed. night. I was packing to sign the lease/move to my apartment in Dayton all evening after i got off of work. We rented a Uhaul to transport a sofa, recliner, bed, dresser and whatever else would fit in there. I got it all packed, and thought i would call Scott to see when he would be in Dayton to meet me and sign the lease. It was at that time that he informed me that he would no longer be returning to Wright State. What a time that was to tell your roommate something like that. Needless to say, at first i didnt know what to think or say, and then i became mad like anyone else would've. To make a long story short, i spent the rest of the night and a good part of thursday on the phone talking to people and trying to find another roommate. Since i wasn't really finding anything, I had to come up with backup plans and backups to those plans, because i really wanted to make sure that i had somewhere to stay in Dayton. A few of my plans that i were making fell through, so I visited Dayton on friday to go apartment shopping again. Well, that didnt last long, because i visited the Office of Resident Services and they said that they had some apartments available on campus. Besides getting a single bedroom or studio apartment off campus, this was really my only option, so i went with it. I was able to get a room in University Park in the greek housing, which i guess is better than nothing. The apartment comes furnished, so i dont have to worry about carrying around all that furniture with me when i move back to school. And about that furniture i was gonna have at my apartment before things changed...well i got it for free anyways...kinda the benefits of working for a moving company, people throw away furniture if it wont fit in the place they are moving to. So anyways, this week has been a big pain in my ass that really could've been avoided if a certain someone had just talked to me about his situation before the night before move-in. He knew that it was a huge possibility that he wasnt coming back, he just didnt think it was necessary to tell me that until it was almost too late. O well, im over it, which i guess says a lot about me. Now, im looking forward to a busy (really busy) week at Sherman Moving. It is my last week, then i go to Cedar Point, move in (finally) a few days later, then go to Writing Center meetings, and then school starts. Yay for that. I think im ready to go back. Until then...this will prolly be my last entry till school.
