I finally did it, I caved in to cultural pressure and read Twilight.
I'm already 1/3 of the way through the next book and I only started Thursday. I can't believe I was so resistant to the phenomenon now that I've read it. It gave me an endorphin rush the likes of which I haven't felt since reading the Sorcerer's Stone so many years ago. I'm now as in love with Edward Cullen as Bella is. I've become one of the teeming masses, and I like it.
