So researching how to travel from here to Akita, we run into some anomalies.
Flights can go up and down $1000 on a day to day basis, seemingly because Korean Air is flying every other day, or because they've booked different days' flights to different companies (comparing orbitz, travelocity, expedia, etc).
A flight from LA to Akita, changing planes/airlines in Tokyo and Seoul, costs around $150 less than a flight from LA to Tokyo. This baffles me immensely.
As to life -- my dad is drinking again, trying to move where he lives/figure these things out (because environment has a lot to do with depression) but at least his case manager is competent and knows what's going on before my crazy aunt does.
