“I humbly accept this meal!” Gohan grinned, grabbing his overflowing bowl of rice and chopsticks. Trunks looked up at Gohan and smiled widely in response.
“I humbly accept this meal!” he imitated the older Saiyajin, grabbing his own dinner and making short work of it.
“You boys…” Buruma laughed affectionately, looking at her son and the son of her dear friends, the Sons. They were both so like their fathers, both in appearance and attitudes. Though, of course, she’d raised Trunks to hopefully take more after herself, she could see the streak of stubbornness and the fury at being outmatched that she saw long ago in Vegeta. Gohan was identical to his father in all but his hairstyle, which was considerably shorter and neater. Sipping her tea slowly, Buruma wondered when the last time Gohan had seen ChiChi was.
“Can I have seconds, please?” Gohan grinned, turning his head to face Buruma behind him. She took his plate and laughed.
“So alike…you and Son-kun,” she noted wistfully. Trunks held up his plate and repeated Gohan’s question, so Buruma took his as well. “So alike…”
