Summary: Eve is not your average little girl.
Train and Sven looked startled, even frightened, when Eve had made her final appeal to join them. First she had said she wanted to be a part of their team, but they argued that it was dangerous. Sven, still hurting from his previous wounds and the strain of his special eye, asked Train to open his can of soda, but Eve made it there first.
“Open!” she smiled, turning her hand into a steel blade and slicing the top of the soda can off. Just like a knife through hot butter. Train and Sven gaped and made some sounds resembling speech, then agreed to take Eve along with them.
“Good idea,” Rinslet had interjected. “This girl’s tougher than you two, after all.”
Eve liked Train and Sven, and owed them a lot, but something inside her swelled with pride at this comment. She only felt more important when Sven and Train mutely nodded in agreement.
