Yeesh I haven't updated in ages. Just haven't felt like taking the time to do it. Even now I don't really feel like going into a lengthy description, but I suppose I'll supply little tidbits of what I've been doing/what's on my mind.
Worked a lot at the theater this week, I stage managed for the first time on Tuesday and it didn't go very well but wasn't too awful. I ended up stage managing again on Friday instead of concessioning because the person who was supposed to do it didn't come. I was glad to get more practice and it went much better. Crazy stuff happened on Friday, I'm not going to go into it, but I must say I never dreamed there would be so much senior farewell drama. That night I went to see Mean Girls with Page, Laura, Victor, Michelle, and Erin. I was expecting it to be funny in a stupid-teen-movie way, but was very pleasently surprised to find that it was absolutely HILARIOUS. I should have had more faith since Tina Faye wrote it. It was a creepy coincidence when in the movie they got all the junior girls in the gymnasium to have a big therapy session where they all confront eachother with there problems (deja vu drama that day).
On Saturday I went to rehersal in the morning. I got there then realized I had left the cd I made for chrissie with the slideshow song as well as the outside entertainment sign up sheet at home so I had to turn around and go back. When I got back to school I was late and felt bad. Luckily they were just playing games to try to get everyone in a good mood. We got a lot done throughout the day and solidified many scenes, I think it's going to be great! After rehersal I went to Sara's house with Steph and Page. Here we had a grand old time watching the Lizzy Mcguire movie (I wanted to watch Don Juan DeMarco but nooooo) and I tried Dance Dance Revolution for the first time and sucked. Then Page and I double-teamed and did a bit better. I was thrilled to discover that it had "I Like to Move it Move it" (theme of Julia Caesar).
Steph, Page, and I then went back to Redwood and I interned with poor eye-patch sporting Rachel Roller. It was great fun and I feel much more comfortable with interning now. I was fortunate enough to see Sean's one act which was overly sufficient in convincing me that Sean is a comedic genius. From the football player monologue about how he swam across the Pacific Ocean to prove he was more of a man than it, to Alex Kerr as the Abomination attacking the guy in a business meeting, it was one of the most hilarious things I have ever seen. I feely deep regret for all those who were unfortunate enough to miss it.
Today I went to brunch with my sisters and mom for mother's day in the city. I hated the food and it gave me a stomach ache, but everyone else liked it so it wasn't a disaster. Afterwards we went window shopping for a while and my eldest sister bought a thong with the name of her boyfriend (who is also her professor) on it for $30. My mom and I convinced her to go back later and return it, but they wouldn't let her. Ah well. The rest of the day has been sittin at home, putting off work.
I'm happy that I finally know what I'm going to do this summer. During the day I'm gonna take some classes at Academy of Art College including video, sculpture, figure drawing, and "ceramic puppetry." Puppetry!!! yes!!!! I'm going to take statistics at COM online since the only regular class is during the day when the art classes are. I'm doing this so that I can take Directing in addition to drama and interning next semester. Senior year is going to ROCK HARD.
Anyhow, I really must work. It is quite "crucial" as they say. Oh how I wish I had a better work ethic. Life would be so much easier. I'm just too lazy for my own good.
