Robot Girls!
Okay, so I need a little help here. I'm trying to remember all my favorite robot girls. I'm very fond of robot girls. There's some sort of innocence inherent to them all. Mostly. Anyway, I just finished watching the Chobits anime and found Chii so adorable that I had to see if I love her more than all the others. So.. Let's see..
From the Chobits series, there's Chii/Elda, Freya, Yuzuki, Yumi, Sumomo, and Motoki. I think. Motoko? I can't remember the names of the little ones. I don't think any others are really named. Obviously I love Chii best.
From Saber Marionette, there's really ANY girl except Lorelei. Lime, Cherry, Bloodberry, Marine, Tiger, Luchs, Panta, and Baiko and Tamasaburo. I think I'm most fond of Tiger, because she really is a sweet girl deep down. Still, Baiko is sexay!
I don't think we can count Alita/Gally from the Battle Angel/Gunnm series. She's a cyborg. That's a shame. Then again, she's not exactly a robot girl I could love anyway. Respect, certainly. Admire, yes. Love? Ouch.
Outlaw Star had a robot girl. What was her name? Melfina, I think. She's kind of nice and cute.
Then there's the legendary demon god(dess) Ifurita. Yummy! And tender, too. It just took awhile for her to realize there was so much more to do than just blow stuff up. There were a couple of her, plus an evil(er) demon god(dess) equivalent. Can't remember her name, don't really care to.
I seem to recall that Metropolis had one. Very intriguing story. Don't think they named her Maria like in the original black & white silent film Metropolis.
Oh, and I'll be fair here. I have a favorite robot boy, too. Robin Williams in Bicentennial Man. Beautiful story.
But that's where I really start to draw a blank. Where have all the robot girls gone?! Help me! I'm sure there used to be TONS of robot girls I knew...
