Delivery hell ended in a bunch of fucking lies in the end! Having waited for our furniture on Friday, Monday and Tuesday we rang up to find that on Friday our stuff had been sent to Argos and they clearly had no intention of delivering to us on the days they said. Written complaint here we come. So on Tuesday evening we went to Argos and carried some shelves back. It nearly killed me and I was so mad when we finally got home. But, on the up-side we have the shelves up and could finish the unpacking. Things have started to look up since as yesterday someone came to pick up all of the empty boxes and the internet got connected. Finally! But at least things are now feeling more homely.
I've not got to enjoy it yet though as I've been busy doing Uni work all week. I had a presentation yesterday which went ok although it did feel a little like a job interview I'd not prepared for, and I had an essay to hand in on the same day as well. Joy. That's all done now though so I can relax for a bit now and go exploring a bit at the weekend. Saying that, Liz has kindly given us tickets to see The Tempest at Leeds Grand as she can't go. Hoorah! So that'll be nice tomorrow.
I rang home on Tuesday and it turns out that my brother has bought a hamster! This does seem a little out of the blue and my parents house has fairly recently become a bit of a zoo. There's the dog, fish, tortoise and now a hamster. Still, it'll entertain me when I go back to visit. I'm glad I'm going back next week in a way as my Grandma is not very at the moment so I'll go and see her.
In music news I have been listened to not much else other than the new Pet Shop Boys album which I'm really liking. At first I did think it was a little samey but due to the joys of Xenomania (which I found out the other day have signed one of the College's students!) it's really grown on me.
