Same Old Stuff

Time for an update. In a last ditch attempt to drive my parents insane, my sister had to be taken to A+E last week. She had chest pains on the day we left Crewe and at about quarter to midnight my brother drove her and my Mum to the hospital. Jonathan stayed in the car although he was well equipped. He'd managed to get 92 French Fancies from Morissons for £1 (!) so he had a box of them to keep him company along with his DS. Good job really since my Mum and sister were in the hospital for 5 hours! They had to wait ages and saw such sights as a tramp being sick, a 14 year old who'd had too much to drink and a woman who'd been in a car accident. Anyway, it turns out that it's age related. Apparently a lot of teenage girls get chest pains although they were right to bring Bethany in due to her previous heart op. She's fine now though. When they got out of Leighton at 5 o'clock Jonathan had gone sleep in the car. Good times!

On Friday evening I met James from work and we went out with some of his workmates, firstly to Elbow Rooms and then on to Bibis in Leeds. I love the food there and the Fantasia of Fruit starter always amazes me. Vicki was amusing all with tales of ill-fitting bras told in her wonderful Geordie accent while Helina ate so much that she had to take her belt off. Amazing. A good time was had by all though.

The weekend's been quite slow. Not a bad thing. We went to the cinema to see Australia last night. I think James liked it more than me but I did enjoy it. I guess the main off-putting bits were the fact that it was horribly cliched and that it was done in such two seperate halves. There were some amazing bits though. The stampede especially was very good and funnily enough the length didn't bother me at all. I also loved the look of it. Well directed but let down by a few things really. Also, how ripped is Hugh Jackman?!

I've been listening to The Feeling a lot today (both albums purchased in the great Woolworths raid of 2008) and they are quite jolly. They remind me of the The Supernaturals, I think it's the backing vocals. No bad thing at all.

family, leeds, films, damn tasty food
