Having had a day off work today to take delivery of my new Ikea bed (which arrived at 6.07pm so after I would have got home from work anyway..) I've finally managed to clear some of the growing stack in my letter rack. Letters will shortly be on their way to: shinyemostars, punakuu, rageisagift and a non-LJ friend.
Only jago_1980 still to go and I'm all up to date! : )

Pen Pal?

Hi. My name is Kiltar (or Kathy) and I am a long time (5+ years) pen pal of rageisagift from Sydney, Australia.

I am looking for new pen pals from the UK and Sarah suggested dropping you a line to see whether you were interested in having another pen pal.

From Sarah's recommendations you seem like a really nice person and someone I would get along with very well (and with any luck you would get along equally as well with me). I am a prolific letter writer, and reply to letters quickly.

Hi Kathy,

You seem like a pretty cool person from the few details I gleaned via your profile. I'm never averse to new friends and getting more letters but my ability to reply in a timely manner has been severely decreased of late.. I've gone from replying in a week to only having time once a month or so to sit down and write. I'm just about keeping up with my previous pals but I don't think it's fair to subject someone new to it when they're just getting to know me! :)

I feel a bit bad declining but I think I'd feel worse promising letters and then leaving you waiting for ages.

I know just how hard it is to find time to write letters sometimes when life gets really full on. :)
