November 16's Iraq-US agreement
"The Iraqi government asks for the temporary help of U.S. forces to support Iraq’s efforts in maintaining the security and stability of Iraq, including collaboration in conducting operations against Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups and outlaw groups, including the remains of the former regime."
"This agreement is valid for three years unless it is terminated earlier by either parties in accordance with paragraph 3 of this article."
I...don't like where this is going. And neither do the thousands of protesters.
It pretty much ensures US occupation of Iraq for at least the next three years. We're still waiting on approval by the House of Representatives, and who knows how that will go.
