Roger slowly paced along the books of the Restricted Section looking for something about wizard's brains and how they worked. He hadn't studied much muggle psychology yet. He had years of that ahead of him. Last summer was devoted to chemistry and biology. He knew the 200 bones, 600 muscles, and all the various organs and their functions. Psychology was on his list. He even had a few books on the subject at home. There'd been no reason to bring them to Hogwarts. And what he wanted was information about wizarding personality disorders, not muggle.
Though Pucey being a prick was probably a pureblood thing.
He passed Molding Little Minds and How to Raise a Proper Young Witch and Wizard. He stopped, still at The Making of a Dark Wizard. He hadn't really thought of Pucey in quite those terms before, but the bloke had good as threatened to kill him in the hall the other day ... Roger didn't like to think of anyone in those terms and had never looked into such subjects as dark magic and the evil ways in which wizarding folk used their magic. He had no interest in it. And yet, the neurological damage that he hoped one day to be able to treat and cure, sometimes ... had dark magic as its cause.
He continued looking and soon had a stack of books that probably would be no use in understanding Pucey's unique attitude, but they'd add pieces to the puzzle. He took the stack to a table in the regular section of the library keeping a lookout for Mike Corner. Mike was another one with ... issues ... though much more pleasant to deal with.
