I have decided not to go to A.D.'s funeral. There will be so many people milling around, and I think I would probably just get in the way. So I'm sending a big f*ck-off basket of flowers to get in the way instead......
I was browsing around online because I wanted to get something for my grandmother too, maybe a food basket or something. But they all have smoked salmon and little crackers and all these totally superfluous things. What she really needs to somebody to take her to the grocery and make sure the food she has hasn't gone bad! (When I was there in February I swear I threw out half the contents of her fridge, there was milk in there dated April 2004!!!!)
So yeah...I don't know what I'm going to do about that, really. It's just that I think she will need me more later than she needs me now.
