By insights I mean, "OOO! OOO! I know! I know! Maybe I should be a career counselor!" The irony is hilarious. I laughed out loud. Of course, I am enduring mood swings, so it's probably not that funny. "Strengths Finder" is a freakin' awesome book though, for anyone who needs a little help in that area. It has an accompanying online test, which I just took. And the results are anything but vague: it tallies your top 5 out of 34 possible strength themes. It helped me see innate characteristics in me that I took for granted and thought everybody shared. (Isn't everyone highly intuitive and responsive to other people's thoughts and moods? I had thought so...) Another major irony is that I've always found it easier and less stressful to avoid interacting with people, yet most of my strengths lie in my relating to others. Maybe that's why I've felt like a failure so often in trying to find a successful career--it would explain so much.
(BTW, for anyone who happens to want to take the test/read the book, you really need to buy it because every book comes with a unique access code for the online test that can be used only once. But Target has been selling it for 30% off, which made it only $16. It is so worth it though...from someone who has taken almost all of the skills/personality inventories available to modern psychology, and has a sister who's a therapist and HAS taken them all, this is so much more helpful than any other. Yay!!)
