The thought of celebrating Independence Day is really depressing this year. I'm unable to summon even a crumb of patriotism. I'm so fed up with the corruption, manipulation, deceit, greed, short-sightedness and irresponsibility of the administration and corporations that make up the driving force of our economy. It makes me so helpless and angry i don't even like to think about it.
Can anyone think of anything good about the US in its current state? I'm grasping at straws here.... the public library system is decent and provides a valuable service. .....that's about it.
Now I need to make some German potato salad from scratch for tomorrow's cookout. Yay cooking! I need to keep myself busy.
