I know I won't hesitate

Today I bought tickets to see Rihanna on her "Loud" tour here in Germany. It won't be until December 4th, but the pre-sale started already over a month ago and I like to be on the safe side when it comes to stuff like that, so I bought them.

It's my own decision, it's my own money, I can spend it on whatever I want to, I don't have to ask anyone for permission. And I also know, that I don't have to spend it on concert tickets. So, I'm totally not whining here.

The tickets are EXPENSIVE. I wanted to have a seat, so I couldn't go for the cheapest ones. And while I was transferring the money I thought to myself, damn ... the tickets for Adam's Glam Nation Tour were A FOURTH of it!!!

And I started thinking: when will tickets for his shows cost THIS much? I mean, it would be terribly sad, because I probably couldn't afford to go to more than one or two concerts then. And with all the GNT shows I went to, I still feel like I haven't seen enough, I'd go to another show tomorrow, if there'd be one. So I can only imagine how I would feel with just one or two shows.

But on the other hand - I really wish he'd be able to sell tickets at that price level (maybe even soon), because that would mean he's successful and on the top and all that. I want people to spend lots of money on him and his music. I want people to get excited to see him in concert. And not just 1000 or 2000, but like ... 10.000 and more. I want him to be able to put together a show like GaGa or Kylie - with lots of dancers and artists and pyro and water and all the stuff he wants to have.

And I'm sure I'll stand in the crowd and bath in the beauty of the show and his voice - and then I'll remember how it all started. With the small clubs on his European leg of the Glam Nation Tour, when we were standing just a few meters away from him, seeing everything up close. When he had to put poor little Isaac into a fishbowl to accommodate the acoustics in those small venues, when he had to be careful not to step on the toes of his dancers because the stage was so tiny.

I don't know what will happen in the future, but I sure hope Adam will be successful. And I hope he'll be able to do whatever he wants on stage; be it on a small, intimate stage, doing a stripped down show with just an acoustic guitar or on the big arena stage with lots of glitter - and I hope to be around to witness it all.

And I know I won't hesitate to spend the amount of money for his show then, that I spent today for the Rihanna tickets (I'd probably pay much more, LOL).
