Oh, life. Never change.

Imagine my astonishment when I discovered that the animal I accidentally ran over this morning as I was taking the Goblin to meet his bus was not only still alive an hour later, but also not a possum. It was a large snapping turtle.

Have you seen Cranford? It's also based on an Elizabeth Gaskell book. It's not quite as swoon-worthy as North and South, but is great "comfort watching" (and does have a couple of romance subplots). Beyond that, there's the whole Jane Austen oeuvre, of course - they seem to get re-made every 5-10 years or so, so there's always a new version to see (I'd skip the 2007 version of Persuasion, though, but then I'm highly biased in favor of Ciaran Hinds and against Rupert Penry-Jones as Wentworth).

As for things to see with Richard Armitage that aren't the hideously painful Robin Hood, I suggest the latest 2 seasons of Spooks/MI-5. Season 7 has aired on BBC America but season 8 has only aired in the UK so far. Both are available on Sidereel, though.

Also, seriously, the Christmas 2006/New Year's 2007 Vicar of Dibley specials are *to die for*. Really - I've watched them at least 3 times since the weekend, he's they're so adorable.

Beyond those - and North and South and Robin Hood - he's mostly done episodic work here and there, though I hear he's got a miniseries airing in June that looks pretty intense.
