ok, sorry this has taken me so long. College hw...its a bitch fer sure. /fails
So, after me and Ely waited around for a few hours in the library while Thomas (
tom_face ) and Grace went to some of their morning classes and took some tests, we set off from Walla Walla to Everette. While we were waiting in the library I'm fairly certain me and Ely convinced halt the students we're blatant lesbians. Good times.
Anywho, we headed out towards Everette round 1 o'clock er so, and all in all it was a pretty uneventful trip. Thomas' mom drove us, meaning some of the inappropriate fun times that could have been had weren't, although it was a blessing in disguise, cause well, she knew how to get there (and we didn't...still don't *embarrassed*) and she drives a range rover (tiny insy bit of braggin, cause, well that's just a "sweet ride" lol), and she paid for our hotel room. So, mom er no mom? Yeah, no contest.
We got to the hotel round 6:30 er so, got ready, and took a shuttle over to the Comcast Arena, in which we spent the time talking about who could make the creepiest comment without trying. Ely won, hands down. When we got to the Arena, we were walking up to the doors and there was this huge guy scalping his tickets. He was all like "Ten buck, two for for ten bucks each!" then there was another guy who was like "Are they ground floor?" scalper "erhm...no." asshole other guy "yeah, that's what I thought." Serious, that guy was such an ass.
We got inside and realized we were super late, and missed the majority of The Cab's set, which I guess I was the only one that was upset by that, cause Thomas is the only other person with me that has even tried to listen to them, so I was kind of silently (er not so silently as the case may of been) freakin out because we heard Bounce and that was it, very, very upsetting I tell you. During Bounce though, Singer hopped of stage and was walking up and down the barrier. He's seriously so fucking tiny, especially compared to the flailing people in the crowd, I feared for his lil limbs. He's only a few month's older than me and this crazy protectiveness just came outta nowhere. Was scary, I wanted to be like "What are you thinking?? Get back on stage before you get molested!"
They had local bands play Rock Band 2 between sets, and that was almost as fun as the actual sets, almost. It was hard to tell if they were actually any good cause the game was playing in the background, but whatever, I liked it. After the 3rd set change, right before Panic came on, I met one of the bands that played RB on stage cause they came and stood right behind us, and I told them they did good and we chatted it up till Panic came on stage.
Plain White T's came on after The Cab, and they were better than I expected, ngl. I think I may actually go and buy their new CD now, which I wasn't all that excited for before I saw them live. Same with Dashboard Confessional. Despite my crazily insane love for Panic, I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, I think that Dashboard performed the best out of all four sets that night. Chris Carrabba did an amazing job, but believe me Panic was a very, very close second with the Shout cover at the end.
I loved how, even if we didn't already know, you could tell Panic was coming on stage cause you could smell the incense burning. Lolz Panic, seriously. What fucking bad-asses they are. That just made me love them even more than I already did. And how everyone on stage had a beer, except Ryan, with his adorable lil cup of tea. So cute, so cute. I was blown away when they did Shout. Sorry Otis Day, no offense, but you've been out done. It was so funny, when right before they played it they went on a lil spiel about how much this made them want to go to a frat party, "so maybe we could find a frat party later..." "no, a sorority party." "yeah, a sorority." lol. Between sets Jon and Ryan kept talking back and forth, I'm guessing trying to give Brendon time to find his mic, which he kept leaving all over the stage. Jon said something about Ryan's guitar being special because it was made out of wood, and Ryan just laughed and said "Yours too Jon. They all are." and Jon just smiled his dopey lil smile and was said something like "Oh yeah, haha, they are."
I think possibly one of my favorite parts of the night was in middle of Shout, right after the part of the song when they go "a little bit softer now..." over and over, it was so quiet in the arena, and Brendon bent down towards the crowd in front of the stage and said "I know we only started this tour a week ago, but I think this is the quietest its ever been when we've played...just fucking amazing. I love you guys." and accordingly the crowd (myself included) went nuts. I just can't contain myself when he swears, one of my favorite things ever. of all time.
I got pictures of The Cab, Plain White T's and Dashboard, but not Panic, cause instead I took to filming just about every second they were on stage *is pathetic*.

The videos I have are really kinda shitty, since I took my oh so wonderful sisters advice and didn't bring my camera, cause she told us they wouldn't let us in with them. When I found out they didn't care, I was more than a lil upset with myself, to say the least, but really, the important thing was that I was there, and its something I'll never forget. I met
jenepherre and she is absolutely amazing. She gave me her spot at the barricade so I could film my shitty videos cause I'm so short (and there was a freakin giraffe standing in front of me!), and she showed us her meet n greet pics with the panic boys, and she was just a fuckin champ in general throughout the whole concert, so here's my shout out to Jennifer!! You're made of awesome!! She's got some great pics and vids, if you want better than the shit ones I have, you can scoot over to her journal and look at her's. They should be up soon :D
After the show was over we got to talk to Zack for a min. We asked him if we could have the pics off of Ryan's guitar stand, and he was just like "Yeah, ok." and gave them to us. So I have one of Ryan's guitar pics. With his name on it. Not that he ever used it or anything, I just really think that's awesome :)
After we said goodbye to Jennifer, we went up and wait in line at the merch booth, where I spent the $100 I saved specifically for that purpose. I got a t-shirt, a sweat shirt, a tote bag, and a t-shirt for my lil brother's birthday (which I don't have a picture of, but it was sweet, I assure you.)
The girls in front of us in the merch line were hilarious. They kept telling anyone who would listen about how "Brendon was totally smiling at me." or how "Ryan was looking right at me when he said there was so many pretty girls here." Ri.dic.u.lous. That is all. And the girl right in front of me made everybody wait while she made her dad go and get her wallet from the car because she forgot it, and the gilr behind us had one of the Dashboard drumsticks they threw into the crowd, and when I asked whose it was (cause they threw the drumsticks out after every set) she just gripped it tighter and looked me right in the eye and said "Mine." and I was just like, "oh. well ok then." Then Ely, ever the bad-ass best friend, responded just as curtly "Oh. Well did you catch it or steal it?" and then went right back to talking to Grace about something. **mental victory dance**
After leaving and undertaking a scary cab ride back to the hotel to drop off our stuff we went to the Dennie's nest door, only to be seated behind the gangi-est gangsters you ever did see. Man, they were crackin me up. Anon. gangster 1:"Dude, you don't chill the attitude, I'mma slap it da fuck outta ya." gets up to leave table, takes a few steps, turns and comes back, "I didn't mean that." and takes it back in true "gangster" fashion, lol. They were so funny. We left there round midnight er so, after having enormous breakfasts (cause what else would you have late at night?) and retired to the hotel room.
The trip back was a lil more interesting, talking about the concert telling Thomas' mom all about it (she didn't go with us) and generally reliving the night before all the way home, stopping for a random Target shopping spree on the way (whose food court thing happened to have extremely cheep food. Questionable? maybe.)
Thomas n' I on the way back
(kindly disregard ma nasty, morning after self)
Ely and Thomas
He's wearing a shirt he bought at the show, but I didn't get a good pic of it.
And that folks, was my amazing Panic experience. Excuse me if it seems a tad under enthusiastic, but I'm super tired from homework, and I doubt I be able to explain how blissed out of my mid I was that night. If anyone wants me to I'll post the rest of my pics, but like I said I got them on my phone and they're not great.
