Title: The Bar
Fandom: How I Met Your Mother
Pairing: Barney/Robin
Rating: Teen for occasional language
Summary: The first half of a new episode in the How I Met Your Mother story. Barney's been hiding feelings for Robin for awhile, and while he's been able to keep them in check for now, he finds his own resolve tested by a newcomer from another bar.

I love your emsemble dialogue, and the way Ted calls the reader "reader" (bless his pretentiousness).

That's not Jack Harkness is it? :-D

Haha no, it isn't. Though I can see the connection now. XD I knew a Jack once, and he was an ass, so I decided to immortalize him as such: It's the writers ultimate revenge. ;D

I didn't think it was - but the muscles and teeth made me suspicious. Was your Jack a firefighter? Hehe.

I do hope you write more! You have a real flair for characterisation and dialogue. Really, really enjoyed it.

Nope, just a professional jerk. I kinda felt bad about picking on firefighters like that, but I'm sure there's at least one bad apple in that bunch.

Thank you so much! And I hope I write more, too! It's taking all my restraint to keep myself from breaking out 3 more parts right now; I sadly have a 4000 word paper to write instead. >.< But once that's done...

I just made my own by recording from the DVD! Easier to put on my iPod etc. :)
