stuff of the past few days
in no order....Got my roots touched up on Wednesday. Finally got a new cell phone Friday....despite the expense. I WAS trying to be frugal and just putter along with the old one but...I got the lowest end one they have and it has color display and wall papers and games!! Sheesh! I wonder if it is running a type of Windows CE, but considering it's a Motorola product, maybe Apple stuff? Who knows...such is the nature of my geek like musings. PlatinumDragon2 went away this weekend to play SCA, but came home really early (as in last night/morning at 5 am.). He wanted home and a bed. The event was very wet (drowned rats was his phrase) and no food/feast. So...he loaded up on sugar and drove straight through to get home to warm dry cuddles and bagel goodness.
I saw LadyKillers Saturday after noon. Nice but not worth seeing a second time. I was going to see the Academy Award Shorts show at the Alamo Draft house, but lost track of time in Borders. Picked up my newly programmed phone, dove through Boston Market for dinner, stopped by Eckerd’s for some small things, and came home to watch TV. I was going to pop in a movie but found Star Trek Nemesis on cable and watched that instead. It is much better when one does not sleep through it as I did the first time.
Had dinner with Niki on Friday night, after driving her wallet to her during the day. The cell phone foray actually was prompted by that adventure realizing I needed a way to talk hands free and find a car charger that worked better with my phone. Found the perfect headset but discovered that my phone is the issue in regards to maintaining power/connections (the leads and connectors were shot) hence the replacement phone that works!
Called Trey to check on how Rebeccah is doing. Still nothing yet. Made it clear that he needs to get his butt back here to register for summer school as well as fall classes and that I am getting sick of caring for his cats!!
Today is my Dad's birthday. I bailed on him this morning since I didn't get to sleep until PlatinumDragon2 came home. That was my choice. Besides I don't sleep well when he is away. Don't know why.
Crap..I need to do massive laundry.
And dress for din-din with Onyxlynxx. Nummy French food!
