(no subject)
Hi everyone! I haven't written in a little while, so this could be a long entry! Not that my life is that exciting, but I've been fairly busy since I got home. My parents helped move me home on Saturday. I am so happy to be home and out of that house. Seriously my first night back I was walking around saying "this house is so cool!" because there's lots of food, and towels, and my own bathroom, and if you run out of anything like toilet paper, you just open up the cupboard and there's tons more! Haha anyways, I guess I'm just appreciating the little things now that I'm back. Saturday night I felt really motivated and cleaned out my entire bathroom and organized the drawers and everything and unpacked my bathroom stuff. I also unpacked a lot in my room but then there were just more boxes to bring in from the garage, so it's still pretty trashed in there. Maybe I should start working on that...
Sunday my mom and I went downtown for some shopping and pedicures! I hadn't had a pedicure since last summer, so it was really fun to go do that. Gotta love shopping with mom. Later Mallory and Brianne joined me and we went back downtown so I could buy a purse with a coupon and they could do a couple of things, and then we went to Walmart so Brianne could buy yet another fish. I hope this one is still alive Brianne! And that night Kristen, Flynne and Sarah came over and we watched Napoleon Dynamite and had rootbeer floats and talked about all of the people who are or are getting married...crazy. It was fun to hang out with them since it'd been awhile since I'd seen them, and now Kristen's gone for a couple of months, so I'm glad I got to see her before she left.
Monday my courthouse membership started so I went down there and worked out...oh and I got a free duffle bag for registering online, haha. Tuesday I met with a fitness coach so I could figure out how to tone up instead of just doing cardio. She thought I was in high school, and when I told her I went to Oregon State she said "oh so this was your first year?" haha. Most people think I look like I'm in high school, which I guess must be true because I think I look the same as I did when I was a sophomore. I had this conversation with my aunt and uncle when I was in New Orleans, because we were on Bourbon Street and my aunt said that they'd probably give me alcohol if I tried. But I told them everyone thinks I look like I'm in high school, and my aunt kind of agreed that I did but that's not a bad thing. Anyways when my mom and aunt were younger and tried to get in places, my mom wouldn't get carded (when she was too young) and my aunt would (even though she was old enough)... so she knows what it's like I guess! Although then my uncle Rollie told me I do look like I'm in college, but he's also the one that calls me Molly because he thinks I look like Molly Sims, so I don't think his opinion is ever admissible! Haha. But ANYWAYS sorry I just went off on that. I'm sure I'll appreciate looking young when I'm a bit older!
Tuesday night I went to Pilates and Erica and Allison were there. Poor Jess couldn't get in 'cause they couldn't find her card or something, and I saw Mikki there too, who I hadn't seen in a long time.
Soo then Wednesday I went to go to Mr. & Mrs. Smith with Brianne D and Andrea! I actually really liked the movie, and it was good to hang out with the two of them. Andrea left this morning for Texas and she'll only be back for a few days in August, crazy. Haha and then Brianne found a Beer in my car...oops! It's not mine, I swear. Not only do I not drink, but if I did I would not drink beer. But anyways, it had been under the seat and I forgot to take it out, so I think Brianne was a little shocked when it came rolling out at her feet...haha. I think it's funny, but I'm not sure she did, sorry Brianne! Oh well, she threw it away for me, so no more alcohol in Maggie's car.
Wednesday night I started my first night at work. It was kind of crazy...we don't just stand in the front and seat people, we also bus table and set tables and fill water and get random things and answer phones and fold napkins and get ice and fill drinks and all that. But I like having something to do, so I think it'll be good once I get more comfortable with everything. Everyone who worked there was really nice, so even though I don't have many hours right now I'm glad I have it.
Yesterday I did some work in the morning...not a Rudy's but I do online work for the state just in my own time sending out invoices and such. Then Sean surprised me and showed up at my house!! I was so happy to see him and surprised that he would drive up to hang out just for a few hours, so that was a really nice surprise. We went downtown for awhile so I could go shopping for some work shoes and such and then we hung out at my house until he had to leave. Then I went to Pilates again last night and Allison, Erica, Jess, and Shelby were all there. And I have to admit I'm a little sore today, but that's good! And this morning I went to the courthouse for awhile and got a weight plan set up with the fitness coach, so I'm going to start toning up people!
But in more recent news...I got my first speeding ticket today! Ugh, haha. Yeah, it was on my way back from the courthouse on Croisan Creek. Dang bike cops. It just made me mad because he was so rude about it. Ok so supposedly I was going 39 in a 25, which I wasn't aware of, but fine. So give me a ticket, but don't talk to me like I'm some sort of crazy irresponsible menace to society who's going to kill everyone for driving 39! He was like trying to teach me some sort of lesson, but the only real lesson I got was that bike cops are mean. Oooh well, I'd just rather not pay $141 dollars! Holy crap that seems like a lot of money to a college student who can only find part time work. Haha oh well.
Anyways, this has been the longest entry ever, I'm sorry! I just had a lot to write about for some reason! I work tonight at 6 so let's hope that goes ok. Supposedly I've been trained now, but we'll see how well I do! Then tomorrow morning my mom and I are going to the courthouse to workout, and then Sean is coming! Then we're going up to Portland with my parents and going to Andy and Kelsey's for dinner, and I think my aunt and uncle are coming too. And if we get back in time I might go my Jamie's Saturday night too.
So yeah that's about it with me. I wish the weather would get nicer so that it actually felt like Summer!!! Um I would doubt that anyone will read all of this, so I'm sorry it's so long. I hope you're all doing great and give me a call to hang out! I don't work Monday and Tuesday next week, and I work Wednesday and Thursday nights, so if you want to hang out let me know! Love ya!
