So I wanted to wait to update until I had some pictures, but it looks like that might be awhile so I'm just going to update now anyway. :) I'll post pictures as soon as I get em from Sarah and Michelle! But things have been going really well and even though I'm really sad summer is ending I can't wait to move to Corvallis too!
Sooo I'm not even sure where I left off before. I'm done with work, yay! Although I need to go back into work tomorrow to get my last paycheck. It's only for about three shifts, but heck it's money and I'll take it! It's really nice to not be working for awhile though, even if I do need the money.
A couple of weeks ago I went down to Corvallis and spent some time trying to make my apartment look more like home. I visited Brianne in her dorm and made sure she was surviving being an RA. Then that night was Sean's best friend Jacob's birthday party, and it was actually a lot more fun that I thought it would be. I didn't know too many people, but everyone was friendly and Sarah (Jacob's girlfriend) and I won at Beer Pong! (No beer was had on my part lol.) So that was fun. The next day I went to lunch with my friend Joanna and we checked out eachother's apartments. I had a big burger at Ruby Tuesdays since I was getting my wisdom teeth out the next morning!!
So then it was the Monday before last I had my wisdom teeth pulled. It went really well actually and wasn't nearly as scary as everyone made it sound. I was awake for the whole thing and it went quickly and I'm healing well. I didn't even get swollen! My parents took good care of me though, my dad went grocery shopping and came back with two bags full of things I could actually eat, it was cute. And Mal brough me Jamba Juice! The only annoying thing now is eating and getting stuff in the holes haha but oh well.
So on Friday, Mallory, Michelle and I headed to Seattle in my mom's pretty car. We went and visited Sarah Sully and stayed with her in her huge house right by SPU. I love Seattle, it was a really fun trip. On Friday we went to a few places (you can read Mal's journal for more details!) then went to IKEA! I seriously love that store, and it's so easy to spend so much money there. But you get so much for your money! It was a little scary when my total came to $219, but I bought so many things on behalf of other people that once I totaled what I spent it was only a quarter of that, thank goodness. Mallory and Michelle both spent more than me haha. But that was really fun, despite the very hilarious car ride home where there were bags piled on top of everyone and a jungle in the backseat thanks to Michelle's giant tree! :) That night we watched tv and ate candy bars then crashed. By the way, does anyone know what a "nouget" is? Sarah and I had a good laugh over wondering what exactly the "nougats" were in my candy bar!
So Saturday Michelle and Mallory and I parked downtown and walked around and shopped pretty much the entire day. My only complaints about Seattle are this: the parking is horrible, and you get not asked but tormented for money a lot. People can be quite pushy, but that's to be expected I suppose. Anyways, I only made two purchases so I was proud of myself. A vest at Norstrom, and a ring from a guy at the Pike Street Market who was hilarious. He said I should have three boyfriends; one American, one Chinese, and one Cowboy. But I should marry the Chinese one, even though he's funny looking because he'd make the best husband. Haha. Quite funny. Later when I got off the phone with Sean, Michelle asked me who I was talking to and I said "the cowboy". It just seems to fit. :)
So we left Seattle pretty late that night and drove to Beaverton to pick up Michelle's friend Stephanie. She has a gorgeous house that I would love to live in, aside from the fact that her cat got eaten by something in the backyard. Eek. :) Then we went drove to WestLinn and stayed the night at Michelle's friend Natalie's and were joined by miss Jamie. The morning was great because I got up--at 6:30am before anyone else if you can believe it--and showered. Then her mom had breakfast food all layed out on the table and the wood stove going. So cute. The house was old and cozy and it reminded me of the bed and breakfast my family and I stayed at in Scotland. So anyways, the reason why we got up so early was to drive into Portland for Race for the Cure. We did the women's 5k walk, and in case you don't know what it's for it's a race for the fight against breast cancer. I'm so glad we did it and it was an amazing thing to be a part of. Aside from the parking, which seriously stressed me out, everything went well for that. I definitely couldn't help crying a few times, but it was just a cool thing and fun to be there with the girls. And Michelle got a pink rose that's for the survivors to give to her mom, so I thought that was cool. After that we went back to the house, packed up our stuff and came home. But all in all a really fun weekend with the girls.
Then yesterday morning I got up early to head to Eugene to visit Sean. I went and got coffee first though and ran into Kaleena who was working. I hadn't seen her since graduation I dont think, so it was really cool to see her. Then I drove to Corvallis first to get books before it gets crazy there. But yeah, I spent $345 on books which I think is just insane. I got used books when I could, but for the most part they dont have used ones only new ones with CDs and access codes and all this crap so you have to buy new ones. I'm lucky that my parents are nice enough to buy my books for me, or else I'd have to take out a loan just to have books for my classes! Ok so anyways, after checking on my apartment, I drove the back road to Eugene and listened to the new Switchfoot and drank my coffee, which was really relaxing. Then I got to see Sean! I was horrible at the driving range, and we hung out and watched Minority Report. Mallory says that we sound like a old couple because we went to the driving range, got lunch, and when she called me we were playing cards haha. I'm sorry we're not young and hip enough for you Mal! :) But his mom bought me a sleeve of pink Wilson golf balls so I thought that was really cute. They have a breast cancer ribbon on it and it says Hope and on the other side it says Wilson.
But anyways, I stayed the night there hung out today until the afternoon when I headed over to see Mallory and her pretty apartment. Except she was having drama when I got. It's a long story, but basically we're just hoping her place doesn't get broken into! Which I'm sure it wont, the managers just scared her, lol. Then we visited her brother and Jordan and I headed back to Salem. A lot of driving for me lately. But I had my switchfoot so I didn't mind.
So on Saturday my parents are helping me move the rest of the furniture into my apartment and then I'll be living in Corvallis again! I'm really looking forward to it a lot. Aside from the studying of course. This is what my schedule looks like:

I think I'm going to work out in the mornings when I dont have class so my sleep schedule isn't thrown completely off! But anyways, this has been a novel so I think I'll stop writing now. No one really cares unless I have pictures anyway. :) My mom's having Lasik eye surgery in the morning, so I hope that goes well! Hope you're all doing great and you need to come visit me in my apartment!! Love ya!
