2012: Good Bye and Good Riddance!
I wrote a really long draft and I mean really long, that detailed all my trials of 2012. But I was too tired to finish it and then I forgot to save it. It is just as well because it just went on and on and on.
So wrapping it all up to a short version: a lot of lousy stuff happened that was worse than the usual money/employment/family or friend drama that is part of daily life for most of us. I had breast cancer which was treated with a double mastectomy followed by chemotherapy. Except between the surgery and the chemo, I had a full on attack of gastric-intestinal disorders, resulting in gall bladder surgery followed by a nine day coma during which I was intubated in ICU.
All of this is by way of explanation as to why I have greatly reduced posting and completely neglected writing. The recovery has been far slower than I anticipated and fraught with disappointments that I don't get better faster. But hey, I am better even if it is slow. Much love and support has been given to me throughout this time so I am blessed in that.
Needless to say, I am looking forward to a New Year and a New Me. Happy 2013!
