Five Senses... and some yarned things

1. What smell reminds you of your childhood?
Mint. My Grandmother has mint in her back yard and it grows like crazy. I know it didn't look quite that gorgeous, but all of my memories of their house has their back yard looking just like the garden in The Secret Garden movie, when Mary is having the nightmare about losing her mother in the garden. I spent the first 2 years of my life living with them, and then the next 13 living right up the street and spending my free time at their house. I have these awesome memories of playing in the back yard while Grandma gardened and Grandaddy worked in the wood shop, and the mint was always there.
2. Would you ever consider getting laser eye surgery?
Yes. I hate not being able to see without my glasses, and glasses are so cumbersome. I have a really hard time putting contacts in, too. I would love to have perfect vision again.
3. What food do you love now, that took you a long time to develop a taste for?
Bell Peppers. I used to hate the taste, but now I love them, especially the yellow ones. They're great frozen!
4. Do you have sensitive skin? Is there any material that you don't like touching your skin?
I have very sensitive skin! I burn after three minutes in direct sunlight, and if I scratch my neck or something, it looks like I got mauled by a werewolf because I'm covered in scratch marks. In the winter my skin is dry, too, and I hate the feeling of polar fleece on dry skin.
5. Whose speaking voice is your favourite to listen to?
Probably Alan Rickman or James Earl Jones

Now for some Yarn Porn!

Oh, and if the whole Librarian thing goes bust, it seems I've got a great alternative:

It is the world's oldest profession...
Powered By TheirToys

Also, Garfield minus Garfield is much better than the original. Who would of thought that the removal of one character would turn a well-loved family cartoon into a hilarious commentary on paranoid schizophrenia and multiple personality disorders?

librarian, serenity, crochet, malcolm, five senses, firefly, shawl, sweaters, knitting, doll, scarfs, garfield, hats, saffron
