This is from the book "Captivating" that my friend Marie is reading. By the way, thanks to Marie, for the prayer! :) You are such a sweetheart!

"Nature is not primarily functional. It is primarily beautiful. Stop for a moment and let that sink in. We're so used to evaluating everything (and everyone) by their usefulness that this thought will take a minute or two to begin to dawn on us. Nature is not primarily functional. It is primarily beautiful. Which is to say, beauty is in and of itself a great and glorious good, something we need in large and daily doses (for our God has seen fit to arrange for this). Nature at the height of its glory shouts, Beauty is Essential! revealing that Beauty is the essence of God."

"Satan fell because of his beauty. Now his heart for revenge is to assault beauty. He destroys it in the natural world wherever he can...most especially he hates Eve. Because she is captivating, uniquely glorious, and he cannot be. She is the incarnation of the Beauty of God. More than anything else in all creation, she embodies the glory of God. she allures the world to God. He hates it with a jealousy we can only imagine."

"And unveiling beauty is our greatest expression of love, because it is what the world most needs from us. When we choose not to hide, when we choose to offer our hearts, we are coming to love. Jeasus offers; he invites; he is present. That is how he loves. That is how we love--sincerely, as the Scripture says, "from the heart". Our focus shifts from self-protection to the hearts of others. We offer Beauty so that their hearts might come alive, be healed, know God. That is love."

"For a woman to enjoy relationship, she must repent of her need to control and her insistence that people fill her. Fallen Eve demands that people "come through" for her. Redeemed Eve is being met in the depths of her soul by Christ and is free to offer to others, free to desire, and willing to be disappointed. Fallen Eve has been wounded by others and withdraws in order to protect herself from further harm. Redeemed Eve know that she has something of value to offer; that she is made for relationship. Therefore, being safe and secure in her relationship with her Lord, she can risk being vulnerable with others and offer her true self."

"But if we would be free, we must."

"Now we should live when the pulse of life is strong. Life is a tenuous thing...fragile, fleeting. Don't wait for tomorrow. Be here now! Be here now! Be here now!"

Update (on the Job Hunt): I went by Oriental Gourmet, & McCoy's today. OG took down my #, & told me that they would let me work any days that they can, which I trust in them to do (they really like me). McCoy's of course, I know a guy who works there that is friends w/ my bro who I put down for a reference, & I also put down another one of his friends who works there as a reference. So we'll see how THAT goes! I don't mind working 2 jobs ... as long as they'll be flexible w/ the fact that I'm working 2, instead of 1! W/ the whole "feeling ill" thing, I am still kinda weak & tired, but I don't want to sleep b/c I've slept a LOT since I've been home! I am g2g work out tonight w/ Johanna, (maybe a pilates class) so just pray that I find enough strength to do that. Have a good day, ya'll, & God bless!
