Travels and Writings
I'm in new york with a_deadletter, we are having a pretty good time! I had some amazing obscure beers at some amazing hipster bars (Burp Castle and Proletariat; even the NAMES are crazy-hipster!) and we hung out at a coffee shop for a long time and I wrote a bunch of hh-sugarquill prompts; in particular I got the "Lily goes on a date with the Giant Squid" drabble done. I'll start posting these on ffnet probably when we get back from the CRUISE we are going on the day after tomorrow (well, tomorrow since it's tomorrow now since it's late. I post here late a lot, don't I?)
I also met some of her friends, which was nice enough, although they spent some serious time talking about people I don't know which was less welcoming than it could have been? But also we ate some italian pizza (not New York style pizza, they didn't hesitate to reassure me even when they knew I knew) which was AWESOME. I'll get some real NY style pizza tomorrow.
We did get bagels today, and they were great! They were probably the best bagels I ever had, but not by so much of a margin that I had to discard the bagel cred I felt like I had; there are some pretty bad bagels out there and I've found some decent ones.
In unrelated news, Dunsparce is great and he should be eating his tail and going "NOM" in the ouroboros pose, and also he should evolve into a fairy/dragon type coatl because YESSSSSS.
