LiveJournal appears to be dying. It probably isn't, not exactly, but it is most certainly shrinking, and I doubt anybody can truly argue that. Communities hosted here seem to do well, but they also seem to be the only things that update anymore.

Most of my friends have moved over to Facebook, or Twitter, or Google+, and since I'm on all three of those sites I find it a bit redundant to be using all of them equally. LiveJournal is no longer the safe haven for friendly communication that it once was for me, and I will be spending less time here as a result.

Blog/journal type posts will likely be found over on Google+, where I can very easily choose the audience for every post I make. 'Safe' updates will be on Facebook, as well as quite a bit of community activity. Twitter...is getting old, but I'm still there for the moment, at least. I'd tweet more if I could tweet pictures from my cell phone, but c'est la vie.

Come February, I don't think I will renew my paid account.
