Nathan has improved 100% since his first lesson the other day.  He's really good at steering, and is finally understanding the gears.  I think we might almost be past the kangaroo hops down the road.  He went on the real road today!!!  He asked, "Are you scared mum?"  "Of course not", I replied.  And you know, I don't think I was.

We went and checked out new cars.  We're looking at three models - Mazda 6 wagon, sedan and Mazda 3 sporty one.  Of course, the sporty one is favourite at this stage.  All depends on $$$ at the end of the day.  Nathan doesn't quite understand that because money just miraculously appears from the bottomless pit that is my bank account.  We may just end up in an old Datto 120Y yet LOL

It's hot here.  Foggy.  I'm really hoping the weather is all good for riding early tomorrow morning, but there is soooo much to do tomorrow.  I've got three girls doing their driver knowledge test again, school uniform shopping for Nath, doctor for Jordie for that damned growth on her wrist that is giving her grief and lunch at Teresa's bush hideaway.  Can't see that it will all happen.  And then Friday is work again...pooooo.
And on a more sombre note, while we celebrate our prosperity and good fortune in all our multi-cultural glory today, let's not forget our beautiful and sacred Indigenous peoples who cannot help but recognise this day as a symbol of the destruction of their society and culture.  If you can, watch the whole film.  You can download it on YouTube.
