That is what I call this ep in my head anyway… Am well late with this, so please feel free to come hither or ignore!
The DVD says: “A heart to heart… When a left-wing preacher’s life is threatened, Cowley sends in Bodie and Doyle to protect her. But to the CI5 agents, it soon becomes clear that their boss’ involvement is something more than

That tea-making scene worries me though - look at the state of that sink behind Bodie where he spills the milk! What in heaven's name has the caretaker been doing to get a white butler's sink quite that black - tanning leather perhaps or forging steel? I'm possibly the least houseproud woman in the world but I wouldn't want a drink made there, and whatever that caretaker is cleaning it isn't that sink, obviously. Dereliction of duty, man. No Army man would leave it like that!
Doyle probably needs three spoonfuls of sugar to cover the taste of the plutonium poison from that sink! And why are the lads drinking tea and playing cards in the cleaner's cupboard anyway? I don't remember ever seeing this room in any other eps? Very strange!
That little scene of Doyle keeling over in the van is so touching, I expect the editors decided to make the most f it and use it twice. Though, on the other hand, they may not have expected eagle eyed obsessives fans to be watching it avidly and analysing it frame by frame thirty years later!;-)
Nice ep, though - a female character to hate, pretty lads, banter and dirty giggles from B & D and lots of h/c - what more can you ask? Thanks for this and the lovely caps!

And the sink... it reminds me of art-room sinks, but yes, he could well have been tanning leather! There is a rather dirty fireplace behind Doyle as well, if I recall rightly. Not totally sure what the caretaker does either... collect mugs? Gather newspapers? Not a lot, whatever it is. Think Cowley is being kind, which doesn't go with his budget scouring image!
And yes, your idea why the editors use the keeling over scene twice is a good one. It was passing out in style!
