Day 26
Headache. Headache. Headache.
I hate waking with nasty headaches. Especially when the kids come in yelling about each other, and carrying on like a pork chop about breakfast and getting ready for school, etc, etc.
So, I asked them nicely to leave me alone for a while so that the 3 panadeine I took can kick in - and then I bellowed (making my head hurt even more) at them to leave me alone - go ask Matt!!! Why, oh why, do they only ever acknowledge the other parent when the first one says something they don't want to hear? Like "NO".
Matt took them to school. I stayed in bed. Matt went to Indooroopilly with John. I stayed in bed. About midday I started to feel functionable, so I got up and went to have a look at their progress. The kitchen looks good! Barbara (Matt's mum) made us lunch, and then I left to go shopping at Crazy Clarks for cheap crappy stuff. I have an idea of buying decorated boxes, also small knick knacky stuff like stickers, crayons, pencils, colouring books, small toys, lollies, etc, and tossing the lot in these boxes, and giving them to the kiddies for Christmas. Saves me having to come up with some idea of what that particular child would like (thinking of other family - siblings kids, etc). I've been on ebay with a search for "Mystery Box" which would help immensely. I've won a 'teenager' one, then there's one for boys and one for girls, an avon one, a tupperware one, etc, etc. I'll see how I go. Am I lazy or what? Yes, but I feel fine about it.
I went to Loganlea to get Chantelle from Monique's place. Got her home about 2pm, gave her to Alex, then went to Vodafone to see if my bluetooth earpiece is back yet. It wasn't, but she chased it up. It had been delivered to another dealer altogether. Typical! She called me and I picked it up straight away.
I got frozen pizza for the kids for dinner before I picked them up. I spent the afternoon rearranging my candle stuff for a party I have to do tomorrow. The adults had ribs for dinner.
A low-life friend of John's turned up for a bit. He turns up when he's low on money and looking for free piss. Matt doesn't like him much either. He drinks the beer, never offers to bring any, and then buggers off home with a tank full of our grog. Well, Matt and John's grog, anyway. I have other, more exotic indulgences. Ones that last a bit longer than theirs. Does that sound snide and nasty? Yes. Am I really such a bitch? Or am I justified in being pissed off with the amount of $$ spent on smokes and grog every week? He says I'm expensive to keep, but I have three kids at home and a dog. He spends up to $300 a week on himself alone in beer and smokes. It's just like growing up with my dad all over again. Why did I fall in love with a man like that?
Anyway. Bedtime, with a bit of a headache.
