I got my Speed back!
I finally got my car back today. Those of you who have seen me in the last week might have i noticed i was driving a 2010 Subaru Legacy. Rather nice car i think, not my style, but still nice.
So, long story short, I had lost 10 of the 12 bolts that hold my exhaust manifold to my engine block. those needed to be drilled out, re-tapped, and have new studs put in. I also had them change the Timing Belt, Water Pump, and do a Valve Train adjustment. all overdue maintenance items. it took about a week, since some of the parts were not in stock, and an unexpected hiccup, that resulted in me getting a new O2 sensor.
There still one problem with the car, and its the Turbo Hot Pipe. I cracked it while inspecting the manifold before bringing the car in. So it leaks boost pressure, and that really blows. I might duct tape it together until a replacement part arrives. I'm trying to decide if i should replace just the pipe, or do the full Intercooler upgrade I've been dreaming of. Mmmm... polished aluminum... eh-hem, anyway, my Speed Pro is not too fast at the moment, but at least it no longer sounds like Godzilla.
